Summary
“Who” was Bhai Lehna Ji? A disciple of Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji! And by Guru’s Grace He became ‘His Face’. Sames goes with Bhai Amar Das Ji and Bhai Jhetha Ji. How can anyone diiferentiate between Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Lehna Ji (Dhan Shri Guru Angad Dev Ji), Dhan Shri Guru Angad Dev Ji and Bhai Amar Das Ji (Dhan Shri Guru Amar Das Ji) and Dhan Shri Guru Amar Das Ji and Bhai Jhetha Ji (Dhan Shri Guru Raam Das Ji). That’s what Guruji say, He Himself is Guru and Disciple and by His Grace every one meditates on Him.
Again, the gift of Sikhi bestowed on them who serve ‘The Guru’ and the disciple becomes ‘His Face’. He preserves the honors of His servants. Sikhi is path of ‘Gristh Sanyaasi’, a path of ‘Bhakti – Devtional Worship’. And once ‘Guru’s Grace Falls’ on ‘Sikh’ he just ‘drowns’ in it. Nothing matters to him. No distraction can keep him away from following his Guru. And it is only possible since devotion is valuable treasure, in fact ‘its’ value cannot be measured by any ‘Treasure’. Just ask Bhai Lehna Ji, why he did not stop to collect pieces of silver, gold and gems and kept following Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji? The answer is given by Guruji that ‘Devotional Worship’ is a treasure and one who loves only The Guru is blessed with it.
But who gets such treasure? Please remember any treasure can ruin the virtues, no matter how much one has inculcated them. The power (latent ego) and greed can bring down any disciple, no matter where he has reached. Thus Guruji says, only humble beings alone receive the ‘Treasure of Devotional Worship’ and all clever tricks are futile. The simplest example is Dhan Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Prithi Chand. Paatshahi 5 received the treause by being humble and Prithi Chand tried tricks and ended with empty hands. Even Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji has said:
 ਸਹਸ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਤ ਇਕ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਨਾਲਿ [1]
सहस सिआणपा लख होहि इक चलै नालि
(Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with you in the end.)
Guruji says, we should just remember Guru in meditation. Only by remembering Guru in meditation, sleeping mind is awakened. What is awakened mind? Well, who can describe and understand it. Only Guruji can do both.
(Only the God-conscious being can know the state of the God-conscious being.)
And then He calls Himself ‘Poor’. Well, it is pinnacle of ‘Humbleness’. How ‘The Bestower of Everything, The Guru’ can be ‘Poor’? This is based on ‘Base of Sikhi’ laid by Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, ‘Who’ just seeks for the ‘Garibi’ of all universes. And Dhan Shri Guru Raam Das is cementing it in minds of mortal. He asks for one blessing, that He may become the slave of the slaves of the Lord.
